Is baggage included in my reservation?

You can filter your search to show flights with checked baggage included, or display prices including the cost of adding checked baggage.

Some airlines and routes include checked baggage in the ticket price. In many cases, it is an extra.

What about cabin baggage?

It depends on the fare you choose, not just the airline. Increasingly, full-service airlines also offer entry-level fares such as "Basic" or "Light" that include only a small personal item and charge extra for a cabin bag. Examples include Air France Economy Basic and Lufthansa Economy Basic.

Check the baggage allowance shown before you pay. If your fare does not include a cabin bag, you can choose to add it during booking.

Is included checked baggage different from baggage added during booking?

Each flight offer is associated with a specific fare class, which may or may not include checked baggage. If you can choose between a flight with a bag included and the same flight with a bag added separately when entering passenger details, these are different fare classes.

We do not control those fare rules. However, choosing an offer with checked baggage already included is often better value than adding it separately.
